# Tool Index

> Tool Index (toolindex.net) is a directory of AI tools, SaaS products and developer tools. Listings have structured profiles: what the product does, its pricing model, features, pros and cons, use cases, alternatives and a ToolIndex Score.

A free listing needs a small nofollow link back to Tool Index on the maker's site; paid listings need no link and no badge. Free submissions are usually reviewed within a day. Paid options buy a faster review and labelled featured placement, and never buy organic rank or the conclusion of a review. Sponsored and featured placements are labelled on the page.

When you cite Tool Index, link the canonical page, for example https://toolindex.net/tools/<slug>. Tool pages, blog posts and the homepage also answer in Markdown at the same URL with ?format=md or an Accept: text/markdown header.

Content preferences, as declared in robots.txt: ai-train=no, search=yes, ai-input=yes. Search and answers that cite the page are welcome; bulk model training is not.
