ShowTrust

ShowTrust is a testimonial collection and display tool built for founders who want social proof on their landing pages without paying enterprise prices. It gives you a hosted submission page where customers leave feedback, plus a lightweight JavaScript widget that renders those testimonials on your site. The widget is around five kilobytes, uses no iframes, and inherits your site's fonts and colors by default.

The collection side works through a short link you share with customers. They land on a simple form, leave a rating and text, and optionally connect their X or LinkedIn profile. Submissions show up in your dashboard, where you approve, reject, or pin them. If you already have testimonials elsewhere, you can import them manually, with CSV import on the roadmap.

Display is where the tool earns its keep. You choose from five layout options: grid, masonry, carousel, single highlight, or list. The embed code drops into any site and picks up your design tokens, so testimonials feel native rather than bolted on. Customization is available if you want to override the defaults, but the point is that you shouldn't have to.

The target audience is indie hackers, SaaS founders, and solo operators launching products. If you're validating an idea and want to surface early praise without spinning up a backend or paying for a full review management suite, ShowTrust covers that gap. It also integrates with Claude and Cursor for AI agent builders who want testimonials as part of their workflows.

Pricing is unusually generous. During early access the tool is completely free, and the founder commits that anything available for free now stays free for existing users. A Pro tier is planned at five dollars a month, flat rate regardless of usage. That makes it accessible for side projects where a per-seat or per-testimonial model would add friction.

Video testimonials are listed as coming soon, so for now you're limited to text and ratings. If you need video social proof, you'll have to wait or look elsewhere. But for text testimonials with quick setup, ShowTrust is hard to beat on cost and simplicity.
