Clarveo

Clarveo is a trading journal and behavioral analytics coach that looks for repeated habits in a trader's own history. It is designed for people who suspect execution and emotion are hurting results even when the underlying strategy is sound. After trades are imported, the product examines entries, exits, position size, timing, profit and loss, tags, and written notes. It then turns that record into observations about behavior, such as entering again too quickly after a loss, holding losers differently from winners, increasing size after a bad trade, or performing differently at certain times. Clarveo is educational software, not a signal service, and it doesn't recommend what to buy, sell, or trade next.

Getting data into the journal can be automatic, file based, or manual. Broker auto-sync is included with the paid Coach plan and its trial. File import supports more than 50 broker formats, including MetaTrader 4 and 5, NinjaTrader, TradingView, Interactive Brokers, ThinkOrSwim, Tradovate, and TradeStation. CSV and Excel exports can also be uploaded, and Clarveo says it detects the format and filters duplicate trades so the same file can be imported again safely. A trader can instead enter a trade by hand with its entry, exit, setup, emotion, and note. The journal computes the fill record and profit or loss, leaving the user to add the context that numbers alone don't capture.

The Coach reads those fills and notes together. Its pattern reports start with strengths, name a specific recurring behavior, calculate the cost from the imported trades, point back to the fills that support the finding, and suggest one rule to test. The site gives examples such as pausing for 30 minutes after a losing trade, but it is clear that the displayed reports use demo data and that a real report is based on the account's own history. Clarveo can begin producing an initial observation after as few as three trades. The pricing page says the deeper pattern fingerprint becomes more confident at roughly 20 trades, so a larger and more honest record should give the analysis more to work with.

Between fuller reports, the product surfaces coaching insights in the journal and dashboard. The free plan includes one insight each week, while Coach offers daily observations up to seven per week. Paid users can also have a saved conversation with the coach, limited to 30 messages a month, without starting from a blank chat each time. The conversation can refer to patterns already found in the journal and let the trader question an interpretation. Clarveo checks for categories that include revenge trading, loss aversion, overtrading, time patterns, emotion correlations, and position sizing. It only knows what the user imports and writes. It doesn't watch the screen, place orders, or fill gaps by claiming access to activity outside the journal.

This narrower focus separates Clarveo from trading terminals, chart dashboards, and setup scanners. It isn't trying to produce more indicators or promise a winning system. Its job is to connect decisions that are easy to dismiss as isolated moments and show when they form an expensive sequence. That makes it relevant to day traders, swing traders, forex traders, and people returning after a severely damaged account, provided they want to study behavior rather than receive trade ideas. The journal is intentionally lighter than a wall of charts. A short note about emotion or intent can become useful context once it sits beside time, size, outcome, and similar trades across the rest of the record.

Clarveo also states clear boundaries around data and advice. Trading data is hosted in Germany on EU servers, the service says it is GDPR compliant, and user data isn't used to train AI models. Export remains available on every plan, including after a Coach trial ends. The product never claims that a detected pattern guarantees future results, and it doesn't offer entries, setups, predictions, or return promises. Those limits matter because behavioral feedback can be useful without being financial advice. They also mean Clarveo won't suit someone looking for live market calls, automated execution, or a broker terminal. Its value depends on the accuracy of the imported fills and the candor of the notes supplied by the trader.

The journal tier is free without a trade limit. It includes manual logging, CSV import and export, and one coaching insight a week. New users can try the complete Coach loop for 14 days without a card, and their journal remains after the trial. Coach costs €39 a month on monthly billing. The annual option is €348, shown as €29 per month, and includes up to seven insights weekly, 30 coach conversation messages monthly, unlimited coaching memory, broker auto-sync, and deeper pattern analysis. The combination gives curious traders a meaningful free record and a way to test the behavioral coaching on real history before deciding whether the higher-frequency feedback earns a place in their routine.
