About ForexFin

ForexFin is a browser-based workspace for active forex traders who want their risk calculations, market reference data, alerts, and trade review in one place. It doesn't place trades or sell signals. Instead, it focuses on the work around a trade, including deciding position size, recording why an entry was taken, and checking whether a setup has actually performed well over time. The public calculators and market pages work without an account, while a free workspace adds the journal and email price alerts. That makes it useful before a trade as well as after one closes.

The calculator set covers eight common decisions. Traders can work out position size, pip value, margin requirements, estimated swap costs, risk and reward, Kelly sizing, spread cost, or a complete trade plan. Currency conversion uses live European Central Bank reference rates when the calculation needs it, and the methodology page publishes the formulas behind the tools. Inputs are processed by self-contained calculator pages in the browser. The trade plan builder combines entry, stop, target, position size, planned risk, potential reward, and a Kelly comparison, then lets the trader copy a summary or share the same inputs through a URL.

ForexFin's free market pages add context without trying to become a brokerage terminal. They include a market-hours visualizer, currency strength, pair correlation, a synthetic dollar index, and pages for gold, oil, and yields. Price alerts watch a selected level and send an email when an instrument crosses it. A free account can keep up to 50 alerts active, while the paid Trader tier removes that cap. The alert list is broader than the name suggests and covers forex pairs along with selected crypto assets, US stocks, ETFs, and spot gold. These pages and notifications are practical monitoring aids, but the site is clear that its calculators and data are educational rather than investment advice.

The journal is where the separate tools become a workflow. Users can log a trade manually or import history from MT4, MT5, cTrader, and many brokers through CSV. The file is parsed in the browser and each row can be reviewed before it is saved. ForexFin preserves the broker's reported profit or loss, scores trades in R multiples, and updates measures such as win rate, profit factor, expectancy, cumulative profit and loss, an equity curve, and a daily calendar heatmap. Entries and exits can be tagged, allowing a trader to compare a written reason with the eventual result. Up to ten trading or prop firm accounts can sit under one free login and can be viewed separately or as an aggregate.

The paid analytics are built to answer which parts of a process help or hurt. Trader breaks performance down by setup, currency pair, and session, shows the distribution of R multiples, and can generate a written retrospective for a week, month, or the full journal. Beta tools flag patterns such as quick revenge re-entries, position size creep, and clusters of overtrading from the user's own timing and sizing. A ghost curve compares actual equity with a version that excludes entries tagged as off plan. Screenshot trade import is also reserved for Trader, which is handy when a broker export isn't available but remains less direct than CSV.

ForexFin fits self-directed traders who already have a broker and need discipline around sizing and review. It is narrower than a general portfolio tracker and doesn't offer execution, copy trading, recommendations, or a public API. Its value depends on consistently recording trades and applying tags in a meaningful way. The published formulas, browser-side calculation, and CSV export make the service more inspectable than a black-box dashboard. Still, market reference data can differ from a broker's live quote, and the journal correctly treats the broker's result as authoritative rather than trying to replace it.

The service has a substantial permanent free plan. All calculators, the market pages, journal history, CSV import, equity views, up to ten accounts, and up to 50 active alerts remain free without a card. Trader costs €5 per month and adds full analytics, written retrospectives, screenshot import, unlimited alerts, unlimited accounts, and priority support. A €25 Forever purchase offers the same Trader feature set without a recurring fee and includes future Trader features. This unusually low and transparent pricing makes ForexFin easy to test, while the focused remit helps buyers understand that they're getting a risk and review companion, not a trading platform.
