About Firmenza
Firmenza is a web service for US small businesses that need to register in SAM.gov, keep a registration active, and find public contract opportunities that fit their work. It combines a free record checker, renewal reminders, a guided copilot, opportunity matching, and paid help from a human specialist. The product is a private service, not part of SAM.gov, the General Services Administration, or the US government. That distinction is important because registering and renewing directly on SAM.gov is free. Firmenza charges for guidance, monitoring, matching, and specialist labor, not for access to the government registry itself.
The easiest starting point is the free health check. A business enters its Unique Entity ID or legal name, and Firmenza reads the public tier of SAM.gov's Entity Management API. It can show the public registration status, activation and expiration dates, and visible details that may need attention, such as missing NAICS codes. The watch feature rereads public records, prioritizing registrations closest to expiration within SAM.gov's daily limit. It begins sending reminders 75 days before an expiration date and reports changes to details such as status, legal name, address, CAGE code, or the expiration date. Up to three additional people can receive reminders after confirming their email addresses, which is useful when an owner, administrator, and outside adviser share responsibility.
For registrations and renewals, the copilot presents SAM.gov's questions one at a time, explains what each section is asking, and checks the format of the user's answers. On a renewal, it flags differences between a proposed answer and the existing public record. It can read selected information such as a business name or address from an uploaded state filing or certificate of good standing, then propose an answer for the user to confirm. The completed responses go into a worksheet ordered like SAM.gov. Firmenza does not log in with the customer's Login.gov credentials, make certifications, or decide how a business should answer representations and certifications. The customer keeps control of the account and makes every certification.
Paid full-service work adds a named Firmenza specialist. Someone at the business remains the Entity Administrator and gives that specialist a Data Entry role, so the specialist signs in through their own Login.gov account and enters the prepared information by hand. Firmenza says the specialist follows a new registration until it is active, and Care starts a renewal 75 days before expiration and reports progress along the way. This division of work is more deliberate than a promise to automate the filing. Software handles explanations, checks, monitoring, and preparation, while a person handles permitted data entry and the business owner retains legally meaningful decisions. The assistant is also explicit that it is not a lawyer and refers questions about ownership, size, affiliation, exclusions, or lobbying to a counselor or attorney.
Pro addresses the work that comes after registration. It creates daily matches from SAM.gov contract opportunities using NAICS codes, state, and keywords, with exclusions to remove irrelevant notices. Users can save a notice, attach a private note, and see changes such as a moved response date. A daily or weekly digest collects new matches and updates. Open notices include a short readiness checklist, and an AI explanation summarizes published fields while marking information the notice does not state. A market view draws on past awards to show which agencies buy in the business's codes and which related contracts end within the next year. Pro can also match Grants.gov opportunities and New York City bid notices once those sources are enabled.
Firmenza is designed for owners and small teams that cannot justify a dedicated federal contracting administrator but still need a repeatable process. English and Spanish are supported across the service and digest. A public NAICS and PSC code finder helps a business choose the vocabulary agencies use, while a capability statement builder produces the one-page summary buyers often request. The combination is narrower than a general sales platform. It focuses on registration readiness, public-sector opportunity discovery, and clear boundaries around what software or a service provider should do. Businesses still need to judge whether an opportunity is suitable, prepare a bid, submit documents, and take responsibility for every federal certification.
The pricing model is freemium. The health check, registration watch, expiration reminders, guides, and guided copilot are available at no charge and do not require a card. Pro includes Care plus contract and grant matching, digests, and the market view, with a 14-day trial that does not require a card. New registration, UEI-only work, Care, and Pro then have paid prices listed on the pricing page, while temporary launch offers can change what is charged during the current promotion. There is no signup fee or multi-year commitment, and the site says customers receive notice before a price change. This makes the free tools useful on their own, while paid access is mainly for businesses that want a specialist to enter prepared information or want ongoing opportunity discovery.

Our take
Tool Index Editorial · Oct 2026· 3.5/5
Firmenza helps US small businesses check SAM.gov records, prepare registrations or renewals, receive expiry reminders, and find public contract opportunities. It is a private service, not a government site, and its pages repeatedly make clear that SAM.gov registration itself is free. That candor matters in a market full of official-looking renewal offers.
The free health check, watch list, bilingual guides, and guided copilot are useful even without paying. Full-service work adds a specialist while keeping Login.gov access and certifications with the business owner. The captured pricing shows a launch offer through October 31, while standard prices begin in December, so buyers should read the dates closely. Firmenza can organize the process, but it cannot make legal judgments, choose bids, or remove the owner's responsibility for every certification.
