SaturnSQL is a collaborative SQL editor for data teams. It's the place where a team writes its queries, saves the ones worth keeping, schedules the ones that have to run every day, and sends the results to the people who asked for them, in Google Sheets, Slack, or email. It was built when PopSQL and SeekWell announced they were shutting down, and the site carries migration guides for both, so the audience it has in mind is teams who had a shared query tool and suddenly needed a new one.

The gap it fills sits between a database client and a full BI platform. A desktop client is fine for one analyst, but the queries live on that person's laptop, nobody else can find them, and every recurring report means someone remembering to run it and paste the numbers into a sheet. The editor has schema-aware autocomplete and a schema explorer, and results appear under the query. Scheduling is where it earns its keep. A saved query can run hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly, and from the Starter plan up the schedule goes down to the minute. Results land in Google Sheets, Slack, or an inbox, and there are several export formats for one-off pulls. Because the schedule hangs off the saved query, editing the SQL changes what everyone receives on the next run, and query version history on the Pro tier keeps the earlier revisions. Pro also adds an AI assistant inside the editor that drafts, explains, and optimises queries, plus an API with webhooks. It fits data teams, analysts, and the business users who depend on them. Business users don't need to write SQL themselves to get value; a scheduled query someone else wrote lands in their sheet or channel on time. There's no semantic layer or dashboard builder to maintain; the output is a table that lands in a sheet, a channel, or an inbox, which is what most recurring requests actually need.
